Twitter Challenge Accepted!
This week I participated in the Twitter Days of the Week Challenge. Each day had a themed tweet suggestion and of course to accompany it, a hashtag.
This week's challenge has been a special one for me because it helped me reach a person best, this was the most I have ever tweeted in a week before!
Here is my #SumitupSunday

#Toolbox Tuesday
I don’t know what I would do without Pinterest. It keep my life organized! I like to think of it as a visual bookmarking tool or a digital vision board #eme6414 #ToolboxTuesday pic.twitter.com/b4gDBNahbf

#WonderingWednesday
I wonder if we should be teaching students about social media and internet use at earlier ages so they are staying safe and learning how to be good digital citizens? Teaching them positive collaboration and engagement online and introducing tools. #eme6414 #WednesdayWondering

#ThrowbackThursday
Anyone remember Kid Pix? This was the best part of Computer Lab, free time creating with Kid Pix. #ThrowbackThursday #TBT #eme6414 pic.twitter.com/uUUNXLWkOP

#FollowFriday
I reached out to the Twitter verse early on in the class to ask for suggestions for accounts to follow related to Web 2.0. Now it’s my turn! Have you followed @socialmedia2day or @lrnchat I participated in learn chat and it was awesome! #eme6414 #FollowFriday

Shout out to @teachmusictrav1 who is keeping us thinking during this course! I am enjoying reading her application of learning into the classroom in her blog posts https://t.co/ivB9KGgHQj #eme6414 #ShoutoutSaturday pic.twitter.com/Qu3CEBNYrh

Something I have struggled with in the past is finding my purpose for tweeting and using twitter regularly to be an active participant, rather than a lurker (my natural tendency). This week has given me some ideas on ways to engage and post on Twitter. I have also never been more connected to my classmates and engaged in discussion than I have this week! My favourite days were #FollowFriday, as I got some more accounts and people to follow and #ThrowbackThursday, because who doesn't like a walk down memory lane?
SumitupSunday Personal Takeaways from this Week's Twitter Challenge:
It's okay to tweet often- I believe Twitter is different from other social media sharing platforms because tweeting is designed for frequent rapid sharing.
Try to find a balance of engaging with other's tweets as much as you tweet yourself
Short and sweet is how its meant to be
This week was definitely quite engaging for me, too! I laughed a couple of times to #mememonday posts. :) Great to see that you’ve also felt more connected this week.
ReplyDeleteThe #mondaymeme was one of my favourites too!
